Julio pues a los Orbes celestiales
regulas influencias, movimiento,
mides la Tierra y mar, tasas el Viento
a tal estudio, con desvelos tales.

Pues del Tiempo reduces los anales
a no menor Doctrina que ornamento,
y a la primera causa sólo atento
son en ti sus efectos siempre iguales.

Porque llevar de la opinión te dejas
que la Ley y sujeto a la conveniencia,
por vanas contenciones y porfías.

Que si con la escritura te aconsejas
del Sumo sacerdote la obediencia
en el castigo observarás de Osías.
