En habiendo llegado al Reino oscuro,
mandó el Rey Carlos prevenir un puente
para asaltar inesperadamente
de la Ciudad de Dite el fuerte muro.

No estará Radamanto en el seguro
dijo, si paso el Lete con mi gente,
que en los Campos Elíseos felizmente
eterno imperio establecer procuro.

Pero Carón le respondió indignado
en semblante y en voz desapacible,
no te fatiguen más vanos cuidados.

Aun no a causa de estar desengañado,
de que en vida o en muerte no es posible
contrastar la Violencia de los Hados.
