La que el tiempo apagó sagrada lumbre,
aun de celestes luces envidiada,
segunda vez se ve vivificada
vencer la inicua si fatal costumbre.

Deidad le aplica en la suprema cumbre
de la inmortalidad del todo hurtada
a temporal injuria, venerada
de rayos luminosa muchedumbre.

A tan puro esplendor eterno día
asegura la edad, Trinacria ofrece
sacro culto al autor de incendio tanto.

Que contra la de ausencia sombra fría
estrellas alumbró do resplandece,
Sol de virtudes al del Cielo espanto.
