Ocios son de un afán que yo escribía
en ruda edad con destemplada avena;
arbitrio del amor, que a tal condena
a aquel que la templanza aborrecía.
Canté el dolor, llorando la alegría,
y tan dulce tal vez canté mi pena
que todos la juzgaban por ajena,
pero bien sabe el alma que era mía.
Si de todos no fuereis celebradas,
voces de amor, mirad mi pensamiento:
veréis que no mejor fortuna alcanza.
Ningún discreto os llame malogradas,
que, si os llevare solamente el viento,
allá os encontraréis con mi esperanza.
