Róguete, oh Lisi, que tu edad florida
gozases antes de esta edad helada;
despreciaste mi aviso, y, entregada,
te miro al daño tarde arrepentida.

En la vejez, que llega no entendida,
dos daños sientes: que en la edad pasada
no gozaste beldad desengañada,
ni gozas hoy la forma pretendida.

Cuando el remedio fue posible, el daño
ignoró tu ambición; agora ignoras
remedio al daño tarde conocido.

Mas, en memoria del pasado engaño,
te miraré, gozando en estas horas,
si lo que quiero, no, lo que he querido.
