Así como en el fin del quinto Canto
al vivo os retratáis, en la pintura
que del rostro, del talle y compostura
hacéis allí de vuestro monje santo.

Así debéis de retratarle en cuanto
muestra de su valor vuestra escritura,
pues de vuestro alto espíritu y cordura
no se puede esperar menos que tanto.

Y así también como en el cuerpo y alma
creo que de Garín sois un modelo
según en cuerpo y alma le pintastes.

Así creo, Virués, que en gloria y palma
le habéis de parecer en tierra y Cielo
por el alto sujeto que cantaste.
