Nací mujer, y entré en edad florida,
cuya vejez a juventud llevóme;
donde en tan loca edad reconocióme
la discreción de pocos conocida.

Caséme, siéndolo años ya crecida,
aunque lo ameno de mi flor faltóme
por casi entera el mundo censuróme;
es gran censurador de nuestra vida.

Viuda gocé de paz, vestí quieta
del Serafín terreno el tercer paño,
y por ser más insigne fui María.

Viví muriendo por vivir perfecta,
y ahora muerta vivo tan sin daño,
que la salud de Dios tengo por mía.
