En esta helada parte, do no envía
su agudo rayo el sol a intensa nieve,
quiere Amor que en ausencia el dolor lleve,
siempre en sombra y horror y en luz del día.
De estos ojos el llanto se desvía
jamás, y si descanso un tiempo breve,
con soledad llorosa pluvia llueve
de ellos contino a la alma triste mía.
No me rinde mi mal, que en él ya hecho
estoy a padecer; mas verme ausente
y en una vida muerta condenado,
de el fuego me atormenta en vano el pecho,
do veo sin remedio el bien presente
para más confusión de mi cuidado.
