El roto lazo había ya del muerto
fuego alegre del cuello sacudido:
mas fue en vano el reposo concedido,
y recreció mayor el desconcierto.
Amor a vuestros ojos trajo cierto
el corazón, y en ellos defendido,
allí encendió su flecha, allí herido
vos entregué mi pecho, al hierro abierto.
En la tibia ceniza resplandece
de vuestra dulce luz centella ardiente,
y su blando calor desata el frío.
¡Oh cuál venganza al justo rey se ofrece!
Porque ya vuestro ardor mi pecho siente,
y siente vuestro pecho el hielo mío.
