En esta soledad, que el sol ardiente
no ofende con sus rayos, estoy puesto,
a todo el mal de ingrato Amor dispuesto,
triste y sin mi Luz bella, y siempre ausente.
Tal vez me finjo y creo estar presente
en el dichoso, alegre y fresco puesto,
y en la gloria me pierdo que el molesto
dolor del alma aparta este accidente.
Nunca silencio y soledad oscura
pueden dar a quien ama tal contento
si no se cambiase la alegría.
Pero en memoria el bien de Amor me dura,
que aun en este ocioso apartamiento
no se afirma en segura fantasía.
