Mi bello sol, si voy de vos ausente
a parte extraña, do el dolor me ofende,
y el fuego, que mi alma presa enciende,
en dulce amor contino está presente;

aunque el color purpúreo de Oriente,
do el sol menor de vuestra luz desciende,
vea cerca, y do el manto oscuro tiende
el apartado extremo de Occidente;

conmigo irá el Amor en igual parte
con la mitad del alma, que me alienta;
que el resto vive en vuestra faz, que adora;

y dividido en una y otra parte,
presente con el bien que me sustenta,
siempre veré resplandecer mi Aurora.
