Al puro ardor que vibran mis estrellas,
do Amor sus rayos templa en dulce fuego,
siente abierto mi pecho el daño luego,
apurando mi alma en sus centellas.
Crueles, aunque siempre luces bellas,
que no me sufren consentir sosiego;
y es el mal que herido y preso y ciego,
la pena es galardón que nace de ellas.
Si algún lugar me finca de esperanza,
es para padecer, y en dura suerte
nueva ocasión presente a mis enojos.
Tal me tiene este ingrato en viva muerte,
que puedo ya decir sin confianza:
«Amor para mi error cerró los ojos».
