Venció mi duro pecho Amor tirano,
y los nervios cortó su dura espada
de aquella ajena libertad amada
que mísero suspiro y lloro en vano.
Él me vuelve y me trae por la mano
a do mi afrenta y perdición le agrada;
mas de su afán la vida ya cansada,
tornar procura al curso usado y llano;
Pero es flaca osadía, y con la muerte
luchando, abrazo alegre el dulce engaño,
y me aventuro en el deseo y pierdo;
que yo no puedo ser al fin tan fuerte,
que contraste gran tiempo a tanto daño,
ni en tal error me vale ya ser cuerdo.
