Del fresco seno ya la blanca Aurora
perlas de hielo puras esparcía,
y con serena frente alegre abría
el resplandor süave que atesora.

El lúcido confín de Euro y de Flora
con la rosada llama, que encendía
Delio aún no rojo, al tierno y nuevo día
esclarece y esmalta, orla y colora.

Cuando sale mi Luz, y en Oriente
desmaya el vivo ilustre. Oh vos del cielo
vagas lumbres, si tanto se consienten,

digo con vuestra paz que en mortal velo
pareció más que vos bella y fulgente
mi Luz, que honora el rico Hesperio suelo.
