- CXLI -

Cuando pienso, cansado del tormento,
que con mi afrenta Amor herirme pudo
de una serena luz con rayo agudo,
y que rendí el valor y entendimiento,
vuelvo triste a mirar mi perdimiento;
mas tan solo me hallo y tan desnudo
de fuerza, que romper el débil nudo
que me enlazó el deseo nunca intento.
Seguir el mismo curso en el cerrado
laberinto, y sufrir ya más denuesto
no debo si en mí queda algún sentido.
Acabe el vano error de mi cuidado;
pero ¿qué digo, simple? Yo protesto
que hablo enajenado y ofendido.
