Tú si del canto mío un tiempo oíste
el tierno son, aunque mayor que el Ebro,
y yo ¡cuánto menor que el claro Orfeo!

Admite en estas ondas mi amor triste;
que será en los males que celebro
sólo mi Pimpla y mi Castalio Olmeo.
