Amor, si el fuego en quien inunda el pecho
que mal puede entibiar la fría nieve,
con tus alas avivas, muerto en breve
será su ardor, y el corazón deshecho.

Procuro, en esta llama satisfecho,
que sin cesar en mí su fuerza pruebe,
porque del mal mi alma el premio lleve,
causando el daño luengo algún provecho.

Este suave incendio me sustenta,
y consagra en honor de mi Luz pura
mis entrañas, que crecen apuradas.

Dichoso el corazón a quien alienta
tal virtud, que engrandece con ventura
la gloria de mis penas renovadas.
