Sol, que con alas de oro vas luciente,
y al Euro tu primer ardor colora,
mostrando al blanco cerco de la aurora
la fogosa corona y roja frente;
cuando el ondoso claustro de occidente
entrares, donde reina alegre Flora,
si la luz que esté ausente amante adora
vieres, lleva esta triste voz doliente:
«Después que vos dejé, mis bellos ojos,
y en puras perlas hebras enlazadas,
la noche oscureció al sereno día;
el bien me falta, y sobran los enojos,
y en horas de tristeza mal contadas
ningún lugar me queda de alegría».
