Pensoso vuelvo a la alma del pasado
tiempo el dolor que tuve, y el presente,

que en dulce error padezca enajenado.
El cuello ya levanto deslazado,
que la señal del yugo impresa siente;
¿cuál tuyo, oh impío Amor, grave accidente,

Yo sé bien cuánto duele una esperanza
que huye y un temor que crece en pena,
y cuán vano es el fin de mi deseo;
mas deshaces, cruel, mi confianza

y voy alegre al mal que temo y veo.
