Temiendo tu valor, tu ardiente espada,
sublime Carlo, el bárbaro africano,
y el bravo horror del ímpetu otomano
la altiva frente humilla quebrantada.

Italia en propia sangre sepultada,
el invencible, el áspero germano,
y el osado francés con fuerte mano
al yugo la cerviz trae inclinada.

Alce España los arcos en memoria
y en colosos a una y otra parte,
despojos y coronas de victoria,

que ya en la tierra y mar no queda parte
que no sea trofeo de tu gloria
ni le resta mas honra al fiero Marte.
