En los lucientes nudos enlazado,
ufano yo sufría mi tormento,
y en llama dulce ardía y puro aliento,
cual ave Arabia, en ella renovado.

Creía en tales lazos anudado
se escondía el cruel que el mal que siento
causa de su cadena, tan contento
cuan sin memoria alguna en mi cuidado.

Cuando los ricos cercos relazaron
el oro terso, a la aura desparcido,
y quedé nuevamente asido en ellos,

en los ramos que a suerte se enredaron
me abrasé, en vivo fuego convertido,
y amor se consumió en los bellos ojos.
