Despoja la hermosa y verde frente
de los árboles altos el turbado
Otoño, y dando paso al viento helado
queda lugar al aura de Occidente.
Las plantas que ofendió con el presente
espíritu de Céfiro templado
cobran honra y valor y esparce el prado
olor de bellas flores dulcemente.
Mas ¡oh triste! que nunca mi esperanza,
después que la abatió desnuda el hielo,
torna a avivar para su bien perdido.
Cruda suerte de amor dura mudanza
firme a mi mal, que el variar del cielo
tiene contra su fuerza suspendido.
