Ahora, que cubrió de blanco hielo
el oro la hermosa aurora mía,
blanco es el puro sol y blanco el día,
y blanco el color lúcido del cielo.
Blancas todas tus viras, que recelo,
es blanco el arco y rayos de alegría,
Amor, con que me hieres a porfía;
blanco tu ardiente fuego y frío hielo.
Mas, ¿qué puedo esperar de esta blancura,
pues tiene en blanca nieve el pecho tierno
contra mi fiera llama defendido?
¡Oh, beldad sin amor! ¡Oh, mi ventura!
Que abrasado en rigor de fuego eterno,
muero en un blanco hielo convertido.
