Fiero dolor, que el corazón cuitado
tanto afliges y cansas; dolor fiero,
que por templar mi mal con honra quiero
llamar sólo dolor desesperado;
pues al extremo a tu rigor llegado,
y del amor ningún remedio espero,
acaba ya mi vida, o, pues no muero,
acábese contigo mi cuidado.
Porque si del furor de mi tormento
puedo alentar, ya nunca más victoria
daré de mí al autor de tu crudeza;
y el horror de la pena y mal que siento
quedará siempre vivo en mi memoria,
para huir contino tu dureza.
