Venció las fuerzas el amor tirano,
cortó los nervios con aguda espada
de aquella dulce libertad amada,
que sin vigor suspiro siempre en vano.
Él me vuelve y me trae por la mano
a do mi error y predicción le agrada,
mas ya la vida de su mal cansada
osa tornarse al curso usado y llano.
Pero es flaca osadía y con la muerte
luchando, abrazo alegre el dulce engaño
y me aventuro en el deseo y pierdo,
que yo no puedo ser al fin tan fuerte
que contraste gran tiempo a tanto daño
ni en tal error me vale ya ser cuerdo.
