Estos que al impío turco en dura guerra;
al moro, al anglo y al escoto airado,
y vencen al tudesco y al dudado
francés, y al belga en su cercada tierra,

y los estrechos que el mar hondo encierra
sobran, pasando por lugar vedado
con valor cual vio nunca el estrellado
cielo, que tantas cosas mira y cierra,

bien muestran en la gloria de sus hechos
que son tus hijos, ¡oh felice España!
honra del alto imperio de Occidente.

Alabe Roma los famosos pechos
de los suyos; que nunca, y no me engaña
el amor, fue a esta igual su osada gente.
