Razón es ya que la cansada vida,
tanto tiempo sujeta al amor vano,
huya el fiero poder de este tirano,
y ya deslace mi cerviz caída.
Perezca la esperanza aborrecida,
el deseo abatido y mi liviano
intento; que mi bien ya está en mi mano,
ya tengo mi fortuna conocida.
Seguro podré ver de hoy más la suerte
del mísero amador, el vil denuesto,
el congojoso miedo, el celo frío;
que no podrá respeto de mi muerte
hacer que mude el curso al fin propuesto;
tal ejemplo es el grave dolor mío.
