Pongan en tu sepulcro, oh flor de España,
la virtud militar y la victoria
grandes ciudades presas, en memoria,
y todo el noble mar que a Grecia baña.
Tú solo, tú, con singular hazaña
ganaste vencedor tan alta gloria,
que las voces se cansan de la historia
que tus ínclitos hechos acompaña.
El furor de otomano quebrantado
será justo despojo, que esculpido
en lengua de la fama alce tu nombre.
Con tal blasón, valor nunca domado,
ingenio y arte hacen que vencido
no pueda ser del tiempo un mortal hombre.
