Pura, bella, suave, estrella mía,
que, sin que os dañe oscuridad profana,
vestís de luz serena la mañana
y la tierra encendéis, desnuda y fría.

Pues vos, por quien suspiros mil envía
mi alma, cual castísima Diana,
movéis la empresa vuestra soberana
contra Venus y Amor con osadía,

yo seré como aquel, que su belleza
con hierro amancilló y el casto hecho
lo mostró con más gloria y hermosura,

pero tendré de Ladmo la aspereza,
si Luna sois, del cazador el pecho,
y no del que honró Arcadia la figura.
