Yo voy ¡oh bello sol de alma mía!
buscando el nuevo ardor del sol luciente,
porque desamparado el occidente,

Podré decir que voy en noche fría
por donde humano paso no se siente;
mas llévame el osado amor presente,
pensando que a nacerme torna el día.
Encúbrense las luces que aparecen,
cuando en ellas humilde a vos me inclino,
y el oriente tardo se me aparta;
que las muestras en Ispal resplandecen,
y la tersa corona de oro fino,
do procuro que el cuerpo a veros parta.
