Templo, que larga edad fuiste ofrecido
al réprobo señor de la inclemencia,
do entró después por alta providencia,
so la especie de pan, Dios escondido,
si el mauritano bárbaro atrevido,
que tanta paz te dio, noble apariencia,
hiciera como tú la diferencia
de posesión, ¡cuán bien le hubiera sido!
Mira que Dios, para sí sólo habiendo
el edificio angélico formado,
cayó gran parte del al bajo centro;
y tú, de un hombre vil fábrica siendo,
hecha para demonios, te ha mudado
de infierno en cielo Aquel que escondes dentro.
