De otros tantos, gran Dios, cielos y estrellas,
con cuanta allá luz y virtud se encierra
de otro Sol, Luna, fuego, aire, agua y tierra,
con cuanto obráis acá vos, ellos y ellas.
deudor os soy -¡oh, deudas, que entendellas
no puede el ser mortal, pues frágil yerra!-
y al mismo os debo a quien, en paz y en guerra,
disteis el cetro y la diadema de ellas;
deudor, mi sumo bien -¿qué digo o hago?-
deudor os soy del precio noble y alto
de la sangre filial -¡oh, inmenso abismo!-.
Pues ¿qué dará quien tanto os debe en pago?
Doy lo que soy por vos y, en lo que falto,
pague vuestro saber de sí a sí mismo.
