Soneto
Gasto mis pasos y mis tristes días
tras un deseo loco y engañoso,
que sostiene el vivir dificultoso
con vanas esperanzas y alegrías;
y encontrado mi daño por mil vías,
sin ser abierta senda a mi reposo,
doquier que vuelvo el rostro lastimoso,
hay campo lleno de miserias mías.
Miseria será todo y desventura,
hasta que se ejecute la postrera
en los cansados años de mi vida.
Pagará el pensamiento su locura,
y morirá el deseo cuando muera
el alma, que es vivienda aborrecida.
