Como en cera imprimir sello podría
lo mismo que en aquel fuese esculpido,
de aquel anillo, que en señal ha sido
dado de la fe vuestra a la fe mía,

el nombre me quedó que en él tenía,
desde el dedo en el alma así imprimido
que en el mismo metal fue convertido
el corazón, que mal se defendía.

Bien fue que fuese así, porque mudado
en oro el corazón siempre se vea
mientras se abrasa más, más afinado.

Vencerme otra beldad ninguno crea:
que nadie compra esclavo señalado
do el nombre del señor escrito sea.
