Dama, tan claro en vos Amor me muestra
de su cautela la experiencia clara
que si el alma engañar no se dejara,
en vuestro gesto vio la clara muestra.
La culpa de Amor fue, la gloria vuestra,
la pena mía, y tal, que me bastara
sin que os sacara el mal todo a la cara
el ciego que por vos mi vida adiestra.
El calor de esta fiebre que os ofende
ha hecho en mi dolor efecto extraño,
muy contrario de aquél que yo temía.
A vos os hiela el fuego, a mí me enciende;
en vos crece beldad, en mí el engaño
hace el deseo mayor que ser solía.
