Con la casta virtud vive abrazado
a Amor con traje honesto y peregrino;
venía el traidor al parecer benigno,
mas para hacer mal, más obstinado.
Traía el arco todavía al lado,
y con el gusto aún no ha perdido el tino;
para mi pecho enderezó el camino,
mostrándose de herir muy descuidado.
Yo sin temor de la cruel tormenta,
por verle alegre no curé ampararme,
que la virtud me aseguró del daño.
Ella después me hizo más afrenta,
y dio la flecha a Amor para matarme,
y Amor con ella ejecutó su engaño.
