falso espíritu en ella transformado,
siendo retrato vos tan bien sacado
de la mayor beldad que hay en el suelo,
y siendo ante mi ardor el suyo un hielo,
¿por qué no me ha el Amor a mí engañado?
Ay de mí ¿Para qué? ¿Qué es lo que pido?
¿Si espíritu tuviese esa pintura,
podría mejorarse mi partido?
No, porque en caso tal ¿quién me asegura,
si os hubiese en las mañas parecido
tanto como os parece en la hermosura?
