Este andar y tornar, ir y volverte,
Lavinio, el caminar y no mudarte,
este incierto partir y no apartarte,
y el irte a despedir y detenerte,
tengo miedo, pastor, que han de encenderte,
como a la mariposa, aquella parte
de libertad que amor quiso dejarte
sana por descuidarte y ofenderte.
Lo mejor del nadar es no ahogarse,
jugar y no perder es buen aviso,
si lo puede excusar quien pisa abrojos.
Mas ¿quién podrá, quién bastará a guardarse
de la hermosa vuelta de unos ojos,
de una boca que os muestra un paraíso?
