Como se turba el sol y se oscurece
si nube se interpone o turbio el cielo,
dejando oscuro y triste acá en el suelo
todo cuanto con él claro parece;

y como estando así nos aparece
fuera de aquella nube y de aquel velo,
y llevando lo oscuro el aire a vuelo,
la claridad del sol más resplandece;

tales me son a mí vuestros enojos,
que mirándoos airada o descontenta
se torna oscura noche el claro día;

mas, en viendo la luz de vuestros ojos,
alegre luego el alma os me presenta,
mil veces más hermosa que solía.
