Así, cual de mi mal he mejorado,
se me hubiera doblado el accidente,
yo tengo por muy cierto que al presente
me hallara, mi señor, muy aliviado;
que, si de sus congojas y cuidado
se alivia todo espíritu doliente,
aliviárase un cuerpo mayormente
al son de un dulce estilo delicado.
Yo conozco, señor, doliente o sano,
deberos tanto, que no sé en que suerte
os me pueda mostrar agradecido:
sólo tendréis de mí, como en la mano,
que a nadie es vuestro mal tan grave y fuerte,
ni vuestro bien de nadie es tan querido.
