Señor, bien muestra no tener Fortuna
empresa alguna por dificultosa,
pues ha osado emprender tan alta cosa
como a vuestro valor ser importuna;

que ni pudo hallar hazaña alguna
que acometer pudiese tan famosa,
ni menos a la fuerza poderosa
de vuestro corazón igual ninguna.

Así todo su intento ha sido vano,
y su poder, al mundo tan terrible,
ha sido para vos poco y liviano,

que con saber, con ánimo increíble,
con gran constancia y valerosa mano
venciste la que llaman invencible.
