Después, Amor, que me privó tu mano
de aquella vista en que vivía seguro,
es vuelto en escabroso estilo y duro
el mío, que antes era humilde y llano;
y en tal extremo, que si el más liviano
dolor que siento declarar procuro,
voy por áspera peña o alto muro
para haber de llegar al más cercano.
La lengua al pronunciar está turbada,
que en tantas tan dañosas ocasiones
cada cual se le ofrece por primera:
así sale la voz flaca y cansada,
y tan confusa de entre mil pasiones,
que de ninguna da razón entera.
