Amor y un gran desdén, que le guerrea,
han ya venido a singular combate;
no hay quien entre ellos de concierto trate,
por do fuerza será que el fin se vea.
Mas mi razón vencida, que desea
que el fiero vencedor se desbarate,
para que tanto mal no se dilate,
de nuevo armada, en mi favor pelea.
Ya Amor con dos contrarios se congoja,
y en su poder, do tanto confiaba,
no se asegura ya ni se confía.
Del arco tiene ya la cuerda floja,
ya vuelve las saetas a su aljaba,
ya de mi libertad se acerca el día.
