La red de amor, pues por Amor es hecha,
no es de maravillar si a tantos prende
ni que, pues él la coge y él la tiende,
la guarde sin estar rota o deshecha;

ni que, del arco que Amor hace y flecha,
trabaje en vano aquel que se defiende,
ni que se engañe quien le da y le vende,
mirando y deseando, tanta flecha.

Es niño y vence, porque él solo viene
a poder lo imposible, tal que ciego
muy cierta, sin mirar, toma la mira,

y nos hace sentir que a un tiempo tiene
las manos en el arco y en el fuego,
y prende con la red, y abrasa y tira.
