Tiempo fue ya que Amor no me trataba
con tamaña aspereza como ahora,
tiempo fue ya que puso en mi señora
honesta compasión, que no mostraba;
tiempo fue ya que en parte mejoraba
todo lo que mis daños empeora;
tiempo fue ya del cual una sola hora
con mil veces morir no se pagaba.
Háseme vuelto oscura noche el día,
turbóse el tiempo cuando más sereno,
el sol, cuando más claro, oscureció.
Amor tornó a seguir los que seguía,
y el bien que tuve, como bien ajeno,
de absoluto poder me le quitó.
