El invencible Alfonso a quien tenía
eterno triunfo el Cielo destinado,
cedió al violento disponer del hado
donde el Tesín al Po su llanto fía.

Yace el, siempre magnánimo García
del Reno en las riberas hospedado,
en su más verde edad arrebatado
de ajena fraude y propia valentía.

Teatro el mar de trágica victoria
al gran don Diego fue, que España debe
ruina mortal de bárbaros infieles.

Donde cabrá de su valor la gloria,
si el Orbe viene a ser sepulcro breve
a tantos victoriosos Pimenteles.
