Como en estancia, que de mármol fino
ostenta el suelo, rapazuelo ocioso,
con ágil mano y ademán brioso,
azota el breve torneado pino;

y, mientras ve que el circular camino
dura en la esfera que batió furioso,
para mas, viendo que se da al reposo,
replica el golpe del sonante lino.

Así el amor con áspera violencia,
en la vaga región de mi cuidado,
herir mi corazón tiene por juego.

Y aunque sobra al dolor su diligencia,
si mira que sosiego de postrado,
se ofende por la parte que es sosiego.
