No puede ser; y miente el sentimiento,
que el dolor, como ciego, no es testigo,
o padece excepción como enemigo
que presenta la lid al sufrimiento.

Temo de Fili un falso pensamiento,
y más cuando le temo por castigo,
de que acaso madrugo yo conmigo
lo que aún de Filis duerme en el intento.

Darla que no temer a su mudanza
será darla a pensar que desconfío;
temo avivar mi mal si no le creo.

Neutral quiero que estés, desconfianza,
que, como mientras el temido empleo,
sé verdadera en el momento mío.
