Lo que ha de hacer el que ha poco es grandísimo caballero
Hacer con un rocín mucho ruido,
tenerle a ternas ferias vinculado,
jurársela a diez damas en el prado,
y no ser de ninguna conocido.
Alabar un calor que aun no ha venido,
decir mi mercader, y mi Letrado,
mandadle muchas cosas a un criado,
y las que importan menos al oído.
Buscar quien sobre joyas de dinero,
venir de oír a una mujer que canta,
y haber estado siempre en cierta parte.
Es lo que debe hacer el Caballero;
y sobre todo la Semana Santa,
sin que le llamen, siga su estandarte.
