Sin duda que lleváis triunfante el punto
a todos los que Apolo inflama el pecho
pues vemos en el libro que habéis hecho,
lo dulce y útil dulcemente junto,

con cuanto aplauso y cuanto amor, barrunto
lo recibirá el mundo, satisfecho
que ha de salir para el común provecho
su deseado altísimo trasunto.

Vive dichoso alumno de Elicona
con cuyas vivas obras no sujetas
al vulgo, a la virtud llamas y atizas,

vive, que en vida el Cielo a tu persona
guarda el honor que muy raros Poetas
alcanzaron después de sus cenizas.
